On Thursday, September 14th, employees from adidas will be coming to the Newport County YMCA to donate sports equipment and their time training Y staff. On September 14th, a group of 10 adidas employees will have a meeting in Newport and as part of their day, they wanted to organize a community give back event.
As with other "unscripted" reality shows, Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge sees competitors seeking to design the next great pair of kicks as they face a series of challenges. The ultimate prize: Design for Harden, who plays for Houston Rockets (and is an adidas spokesman) a limited-edition sneaker and get a footwear design job at adidas. The series, which "emphasizes a mix of footwear design and professional skills, " features 12 competitors operating in four teams. One team will make it to the top, with adidas manufacturing an exclusive limited run of the winning design scheduled to become available adidas superstar womens size 6 in November. | |
